Berkfa is the developer and first manufacturer of pre-glued PVC edge banding. This product was developed to address the limitations of pre-glued melamine edge bandings in terms of color variety and the requirement of machinery for applying standard PVC edge bandings. It offers an effective solution especially for small workshops and low-volume projects where the use of PVC edge banding not possible.
With pre-glued PVC edge banding, all colors and decors available in PVC edge bandings can be supplied by our company in a pre-glued form. This enables manufacturers to benefit from the aesthetic appearance and durability of PVC without the need for edge banding machines or additional equipment investment.
In terms of application, the only difference between pre-glued PVC edge banding and pre-glued melamine edge banding is the need to protect the PVC surface during heat application. For this purpose, a protective material should be placed between the heating source (iron or heater) and the edge banding. This can be achieved by using the Teflon iron pad supplied by our company, or alternatively, a suitable fabric for safe application.
